Vacato queries public RDAP and DNS records to determine whether a domain is currently registered. Results are instant and support hundreds of TLDs including .com, .io, .ai, and .co.
Is a domain checker result a guarantee I can register the name?
No. RDAP shows current registration status, not real-time registry cart availability. For continuous monitoring of taken domains, add them to your Vacato watchlist.
Can I get alerts when a taken domain becomes available?
Yes. If a domain is registered, add it to Vacato (free for 10 domains). We check every 5 minutes on the free plan and alert you via email, push, or Telegram when it opens. Vacato monitors and alerts — it does not drop-catch or register names.
What if the domain is available?
Register it at a registrar while it is open. You can also check similar names (other TLDs or brand variants) on this page. Vacato is for watching names that are still taken.
How do I check if a domain is expired or pending delete?
This tool reads public RDAP. If the registry reports redemption or pending delete, we show that — those names are not registrable yet. Expiry alone is not the same as available. Add the name to a Vacato watchlist for the drop window. Vacato is not a drop-catch service and does not register names.
