How Vacato monitors domains

Vacato watches domains you care about and notifies you after a check sees them available. You register the name yourself — Vacato does not catch or register.

Export and delete your data

Watchlist CSV/JSON is on the dashboard. A full-account JSON export (profile, domains, notification preferences, organization memberships — no API keys or webhook secrets) is in Settings, along with self-serve account deletion.

What happens when a domain drops?

When an owner lets a domain expire, it passes through registrar grace and redemption periods before returning to the public pool. Timing varies by TLD and registrar. Vacato checks continuously so you do not have to manually refresh WHOIS or guess the drop window.
