Drag the button below onto your bookmarks bar. On any public site, click it to open Vacato auth for that hostname (utm_source=bookmarklet).

Watch with Vacato

  1. Show bookmarks bar (Ctrl+Shift+B /Cmd+Shift+B)
  2. Drag Watch with Vacato onto the bar
  3. Visit a site → click the bookmark → sign in / start free (10 domains)

Or copy the bookmark URL:

javascript:void(function(){var h=(location.hostname||"").replace(/^www\./i,"");if(!h||h==="localhost"||h==="127.0.0.1"||/\.local$/i.test(h)||/\.lan$/i.test(h)){alert("Vacato: open a public website first.");return;}location.href="https://app.vacato.io/auth"+"?add="+encodeURIComponent(h)+"&utm_source=bookmarklet&utm_medium=tool&utm_campaign=watch_bookmarklet";})();

How it works

  1. Reads the current tab’s hostname (strips a leading www.).
  2. Opens Vacato auth to watch that hostname with UTMutm_source=bookmarklet.
  3. Refuses localhost / .local / .lan with a short alert.

FAQ

Is this a browser extension?

No. It is a javascript: bookmark you drag onto the bookmarks bar. No Chrome Web Store listing, no permissions beyond what you click.

What data does it read?

Only location.hostname (strips a leading www.). It does not scrape page HTML, cookies, passwords, or other tabs. Localhost and .local/.lan hostnames are refused.

Where does it send me?

Vacato auth with ?add={hostname}&utm_source=bookmarklet&utm_medium=tool&utm_campaign=watch_bookmarklet. Sign in or create a free watchlist (10 domains).

Is Vacato a drop-catcher?

No. Vacato alerts when RDAP shows a name available. You register yourself. Contested deletes still favor catch platforms for must-wins.
