Item 1 — r/Domains — Best backorder services for .gg domains

Scheduled: 2026-08-29 · Open thread ↗

For .gg specifically you’ll want a catcher that actually covers that TLD — Park.io / Dynadot / whoever is winning locally right now (OP already noted Dynadot failing them).

Backorder/catch is still an auction + race lane though — totally different beast from “is this name actually available yet?” monitoring.

I’d split the workflow:
- **Backorder path** for the few names you’d pay real money to win (especially contested deletes).
- **RDAP watchlist** for everything else you’re curious about — so you’re not refreshing WHOIS manually when something hits pending delete.

I use Vacato for the second bucket (free tier = 10 names, Telegram ping when RDAP flips to available). You still register yourself — it’s alerts, not catching. Honest limit: on a hot contested delete, catch platforms can still beat you.

Free tier if you want to try: https://vacato.io/get-started?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=community&utm_content=comment

Item 2 — r/Domains — expireddomains.com error

Scheduled: 2026-08-30 · Open thread ↗

ExpiredDomains is great for discovery lists, but it’s brittle when their UI/API throws — and you’re still babysitting exports.

For a *specific* shortlist you actually care about, an RDAP watchlist that re-checks on a timer is less fragile than spreadsheet-refreshing. Different job than browsing daily drop lists.

If you’re debugging ExpiredDomains itself: check ad-blockers and whether you’re hitting a rate limit on bulk views.

Item 3 — r/Domains — How do you usually acquire domains?

Scheduled: 2026-08-31 · Open thread ↗

My split for a long tail of targets:

1. **Register/negotiate** when I can get a fair price today.
2. **Watchlist (RDAP polling)** for everything I’m willing to wait on.
3. **Backorder/catcher** only on the 2–3 pending-delete names I’d actually pay auction price for.

Backordering 50+ names gets expensive fast and you still lose hot .coms at the registry. The watchlist is for coverage; catchers are for must-wins. I use Vacato for the middle bucket (free for 10) — vacato.io — but any RDAP poller works.

Item 4 — r/Domains — DropCatch timing

Scheduled: 2026-09-01 · Open thread ↗

Pending delete is multi-day, then the availability window can be minutes — manual WHOIS refresh is how most drops get missed.

A watchlist that polls RDAP on a timer and pings you when status looks available beats staring at WHOIS. Then register at your usual registrar. That’s not DropCatch racing the registry — just not missing the flip.

(I use Vacato for this — free tier is 10 names if useful: vacato.io)

Item 5 — r/Domains — How do you choose a suitable domain name?

Scheduled: 2026-09-03 · Open thread ↗

            Two lenses that helped me:

**Brand fit now** — pronounceable, no trademark confusion, doesn’t box you in if you pivot.

**Optionality later** — if the exact .com you want is taken but idle, keep it on some kind of availability watch. Owners lapse more often than people expect; you don’t want to discover it a month after it dropped.

I park those on Vacato’s free tier (10 names) — vacato.io — but the habit matters more than the tool.

Item 6 — r/startups — Moved from .ai to .com (update post)

Scheduled: 2026-09-05 · Open thread ↗

Nice move getting on the .com — that credibility bump is real.

If you still have 2–3 alternate names you *didn’t* buy but might want later, worth watching them somehow. Founders let good .coms lapse all the time; the failure mode is “we shipped on a modifier domain and forgot to check WHOIS for six months.”

A simple RDAP watchlist + ping is enough. Vacato’s free for 10 if you want turnkey (vacato.io) — monitoring only, not a backorder.

Item 7 — r/startups — Naming agent found clean .coms

Scheduled: 2026-09-06 · Open thread ↗

Love the “agent found clean .coms” angle — that’s the hard part.

One thing I’d add for names you *liked* but didn’t register: park the top 3–5 on an availability watchlist. Naming tools find candidates; they don’t tell you when a taken name you passed on suddenly lapses six months later.

Vacato does that for me (10 free) — vacato.io — alert only, you still register yourself.

Item 8 — r/Entrepreneur — Are all the good domain names taken?

Scheduled: 2026-09-07 · Open thread ↗

Not all of them — but the obvious single-word .coms are gone. The workable playbook:

1. Ship on something good enough today (.co, modifier, alternate TLD).
2. Put the *exact* .com on some automated watch if it’s parked or unused. Lapse rates are higher than most founders assume.

I use Vacato for #2 (free for 10) — vacato.io. Alerts only; not a broker or catcher.

Item 9 — r/SideProject — Bought a domain for a calorie calculator

Scheduled: 2026-09-08 · Open thread ↗

Ha — the “bored, bought the domain” pipeline is real.

If you had other name ideas you liked but were taken when you searched, throw your top 3 on a watchlist and forget them. Side projects have a long tail; the exact .com might open up in a year. Manual WHOIS once a month is how those get missed.

(Vacato free tier covers 10 if useful — vacato.io)

Item 10 — r/SideProject — Homepage auction metaphor

Scheduled: 2026-09-09 · Open thread ↗

Fun concept — the “homepage auction” metaphor is basically what happens with good .coms in the real world too.

If you’re building side projects and keep losing names to squatters or auction prices, the cheap insurance is watching the names you actually want (not hundreds — your top 5). RDAP + a phone ping beats calendar reminders.

I use Vacato for that — free 10, no card — vacato.io. Alerts when it looks available; you register yourself.

Item 11 — r/Domains — At what point do you buy the .com?

Scheduled: 2026-09-10 · Open thread ↗

Ship on the cheaper TLD while usage is sticky — that part is right.

For the exact .com: if it’s parked/for-sale and you can’t justify the ask yet, don’t only “check WHOIS when you remember.” An RDAP watchlist notices when status flips (owner lapses, listing dies, pending delete) — then you can buy at registrar price if/when it opens.

I use Vacato for that second bucket (10 free) — vacato.io. Alerts only; not a backorder auction.

Item 12 — r/Domains — Website domain taken (autorenew fail)

Scheduled: 2026-09-12 · Open thread ↗

That’s brutal — autorenew fail + someone grabbing it the second it opened. Obscure doesn’t protect you; once a name hits pending delete, monitors and catchers treat it like any other delete.

Going forward: (1) confirm autorenew + a working card on every registrar you use, (2) for names you *don’t* own yet but care about, daily manual WHOIS loses to automation — a watchlist with a phone ping beats “I checked every day for a month.”

For *this* name: WHOIS the new registrant and try a clean purchase offer / broker. (I use Vacato for the watchlist layer on other targets — free 10 — vacato.io; it won’t catch this one back.)

Item 13 — r/nocode — Naming things is harder than building them

Scheduled: 2026-09-13 · Open thread ↗

The “three evenings on the name, zero comments later” pattern is real — ship on fine and move on.

What helped me: keep a tiny list of the 3–5 names you *almost* used (the ones that were taken) and watch them somehow. Naming is a long game; good .coms lapse more often than people expect.

Vacato is what I use for that (10 free) — vacato.io — but any scheduled RDAP check works.

Item 14 — r/Domains — Negotiate for a domain you really want

Scheduled: 2026-09-16 · Open thread ↗

Negotiation path: make a clean written offer below ask with a short why (use case, budget, timeline). Many BIN pages are anchors — sellers often take a chunk less if the name has been sitting. Use Escrow.com / registrar transfer after agreement; don’t insult-lowball a short brandable.

Parallel path while you wait: keep an eye on RDAP in case the listing dies or the registration actually lapses. Paying full ask isn’t the only outcome. I park those on Vacato (free 10) — vacato.io — but the parallel watch is the idea, not the brand.

Item 15 — r/Domains — My .cf domain expires today

Scheduled: 2026-09-17 · Open thread ↗

With registry/registrar outages the timeline gets murky, but the usual lane is: expire → grace (renew at registrar) → redemption (higher fee) → pending delete → available. Your INWX renewal pending since May is the real fire — keep pushing support and, if .cf allows it, ask another accredited registrar whether they can renew while INWX is dark.

A monitoring tool won’t unstick a renewal on a name you already own — that’s registrar ops. Where watching helps is the *other* names your infra depends on (or replacements) so the next expiry isn’t discovered via outage.

Item 16 — r/Domains — Best personal domain options

Scheduled: 2026-09-18 · Open thread ↗

For a personal site I’d prioritize: (1) yourname.com if affordable, (2) clean .dev/.io/.me if .com is absurd, (3) avoid ultra-cheap novelty TLDs you’ll regret on a resume.

Practical tip: write down the 3–5 names you almost bought (taken or overpriced) and keep an eye on them somehow — personal branding is a long game, and good short .coms lapse more often than people expect. Manual WHOIS once a year is how those get missed.

If you want a turnkey watchlist, Vacato’s free tier covers 10 — vacato.io — but the habit matters more than the tool.

Item 17 — r/Domains — Stuck with a .co domain name

Scheduled: 2026-09-19 · Open thread ↗

Yeah .co renewals got nasty for “just my family email” use — welcome deals + hopping registrars is the usual painkiller, but it’s a treadmill.

If the real escape hatch is the matching .com (or a cleaner ccTLD), don’t rely on remembering to WHOIS it once a year. Park that exact target somewhere you’ll get pinged if it ever opens / the listing dies — then you can migrate email on your timeline.

I use Vacato for that (free 10) — vacato.io. Won’t lower your current .co invoice — just the “wait for the better name” lane.

Item 18 — r/Domains — How do people spend so much on side project domains?

Scheduled: 2026-09-20 · Open thread ↗

Most people don’t — the loud buys are survivorship bias. For side projects: ship on a fine name, keep a tiny wishlist of the 3–5 names you’d actually upgrade to, and watch those instead of dropping $2k on a hobby that might die in a month.

RDAP watchlist + a phone ping beats “I’ll check Afternic again someday.” Vacato free covers 10 if useful — vacato.io.

Item 19 — r/Domains — I bought TheCalculator.ai years ago

Scheduled: 2026-09-21 · Open thread ↗

If you’re not building the SaaS soon: a Make-Offer listing usually beats a frozen BIN for a years-held unused .ai — you learn demand without locking yourself to a number. Fixed BIN is fine if you’ve already decided a floor and don’t want lowball DMs.

Parallel: if you’d rather own thecalculator.com (or a cleaner brand) someday, watch that exact string instead of only refreshing WHOIS when you remember. Holding .ai and hunting upgrades are different jobs. (Vacato free 10 — vacato.io — if you want alerts without babysitting.)

Four variants — pick one that matches the thread. Links use utm_source=reddit.

r/Domains — Helpful answer (domain investor thread)

For a long tail of names, a backorder on every target gets expensive fast — and you still lose auctions on hot .coms.

What worked for me: keep the whole list on a watchlist (I use Vacato — 1-min checks on Pro, Telegram ping) and only place backorders on the few pending-delete names I actually need to win. Vacato alerts when RDAP shows available; I register at my registrar. It does not catch for you.

Free tier is 10 names if you want to try: https://vacato.io/get-started?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=community&utm_content=comment

Honest limits: on a contested delete, catch platforms can still beat you. The watchlist is for coverage, not guaranteed catches.

r/Domains — Pending-delete / WHOIS refresh thread

Refreshing WHOIS manually is how most drops get missed — pending delete is multi-day, then the window is minutes.

I run a watchlist that polls RDAP on a timer (Vacato: 5 min free / 1 min paid) and alerts on Telegram. When status flips to available, I register myself. Not a drop-catcher — just the alert layer so I'm not babysitting spreadsheets.

https://vacato.io/get-started?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=community&utm_content=comment — also has a free single-domain checker if you want to sanity-check status first.

r/startups — Dream .com is taken thread

If the .com you want is registered but not in use, don't pick a hyphenated .io on day one and "fix it later."

Add it to a domain watchlist — unused names lapse more often than people expect. I use Vacato (free for 10 names, email/Telegram alerts). When it opens, register at normal price. It's monitoring, not a backorder auction.

https://vacato.io/get-started?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=community&utm_content=startups

r/Entrepreneur — Brand / naming thread

Two-track approach for a taken .com:

1. Use something workable now (.co / modifier) so you can ship.
2. Put the exact .com on automated monitoring so you don't miss a lapse.

Vacato checks RDAP every 5 minutes on free (10 names) and pings you — you register wherever you want. Not affiliated beyond being the tool I use: https://vacato.io/get-started?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=community&utm_content=comment

      # I dogfood Vacato on my own domain watchlist

**TL;DR:** Vacato is an RDAP **watchlist** — scheduled checks + Telegram when a taken name looks available. I'm running it on five real targets — not a demo list.

## What it is
- Availability monitoring for names you don't own yet
- RDAP polling (5 min free / 1 min Pro)
- Alerts: Telegram (free), email, push; Slack/Discord/webhooks on Pro
- You register at any registrar when it opens

## What it isn't
- Not a drop-catcher / registry race
- Not a backorder auction
- Not a registrar — no lock-in, no "we caught 10k domains" claims

## My actual watchlist right now
- orbitdesk.com
- stackvault.com
- nomadledger.com
- pixelforge.com
- flowstatehq.com

All still registered today — which is the point. I'm not refreshing WHOIS manually; Vacato checks on a schedule and will Telegram me when one opens.

## Free 10
**Free tier:** 10 domains, 5-minute checks, Telegram / email / push — no card.
**Pro ($7/mo):** 100 domains, 1-minute checks, API + MCP, Slack/Discord/webhooks.

Hi Elliot — I'm Lidor, founder of Vacato (RDAP domain watchlist + Telegram alerts).

Quick product note: Free now watches **10 domains** (was 5) — same 5-min RDAP, Telegram/email. Still alerts only, not a catcher. Changelog: https://vacato.io/blog/free-plan-10-domains

Not pitching a paid placement. I also published an honest piece on when domain investors should use watchlists vs backorders vs catchers — no inflated catch stats:

https://vacato.io/blog/domain-backorder-vs-monitoring

Founder LinkedIn post (optional share)

Most domain drops aren't missed because you're slow — they're missed because you stopped checking WHOIS.

I built Vacato: an RDAP watchlist that re-checks on a timer (5 min free / 1 min Pro) and pings Telegram when a taken name looks available.

What it is: availability alerts for names you want but don't own yet.
What it isn't: not a drop-catcher, not a backorder auction, not a registrar. You register yourself.

Dogfooding five real targets right now (orbitdesk.com, stackvault.com, nomadledger.com, pixelforge.com, flowstatehq.com) — all still registered; that's the point.

Hey — Lidor, founder of Vacato (vacato.io).

Built an RDAP domain watchlist: scheduled checks + Telegram when a taken name looks available. Not a catcher / not a backorder auction — you still register yourself.

Dogfooding five real targets. Honest limit: on a hot contested .com delete, dedicated catch platforms can still beat you. Watchlist is for the long tail.

Hey builders — Lidor here. Shipping Vacato: RDAP watchlist + Telegram alerts for domains you want but don’t own yet.

Problem I kept hitting: calendar reminders to “check WHOIS” fail after week 3. So I built timer-based checks (5 min free / 1 min Pro) and phone pings when status flips toward available.

Not a drop-catcher. Alerts only — you register at your registrar.

It’s a small RDAP watchlist: add the names you care about → get Telegram when one looks available → register yourself. Free = 10 names. Not a catcher.

NP-1 — NamePros — Best domain monitoring service (post-GoDaddy shutdown)

GoDaddy's old "domain monitoring" and DomainTools-style **change tracking** (NS, expiry field changes, etc.) solved a different problem than **availability** monitoring.

For "tell me when RDAP says this specific name is available so I can register it," I use **Vacato** — watchlist with scheduled RDAP checks (5 min free / 1 min Pro) and Telegram/Slack/email alerts. You register at your registrar; it does not catch or backorder.

Honest scope: it's not a replacement for portfolio DNS/expiry dashboards (Dynadot watchlist, DNMin, etc.). It's the alert layer for *targets you don't own yet*. Free tier: 10 names. API + MCP on Pro if you want the list in Cursor.

+1 on avoiding GoDaddy backorder as your *only* plan — it often just seeds a public auction.

What I do for a mixed list:
- **Dynadot watchlist / registrar monitoring** when I'm already there.
- **Vacato** for RDAP availability alerts across a longer target list (cheap coverage; Telegram is handy on drop day).
- **DropCatch / Snap** backorder only on names I'd pay real auction money for.

Vacato won't win a registry race — it pings when RDAP looks available and you grab it yourself. Useful when you're learning the lifecycle and don't want to miss the window because you stopped checking WHOIS.

Scheduled: 2026-09-11 · Open thread ↗

Filtering > volume is the right takeaway for beginners.

On the tooling side, I'd separate:
- **Discovery** (daily drop lists, filters) — find candidates.
- **Coverage** (watchlist on 50–200 "maybe" names) — RDAP polling so you don't miss a quiet lapse because you weren't watching that day.
- **Must-win** (single backorder/catcher on the few you'd pay up for).

I use Vacato for the middle bucket — flat fee, alerts when RDAP shows available, register yourself. It does not catch at the registry. Good complement to hand-registration stories like the ones in your post.

DF-2 — DNForum — GoDaddy backorder vs WWD backorder

Scheduled: 2026-09-13 · Open thread ↗

Worth confirming whether GD/WWD are sharing the same backorder pool on a given name (as several folks in this thread noted) — doubling up might mean paying twice without doubling odds.

Separate from backorders: for names you're *watching* but not ready to backorder yet, an RDAP watchlist can tell you when status moves toward available without placing a bid that signals interest. I run those on Vacato (Telegram alerts) and keep registrar backorders for the 2–3 I truly need to win.

Different job than "which catcher has more registrars" — but it reduced my spend on backorders I didn't really need.

Founders: add your 3–5 dream .coms before you ship. Owners lapse names constantly. A hyphenated .io is fine for MVP — but don't lose the exact match because you forgot to check WHOIS for six weeks.

Investors: backordering 100 names is $2k+ before you win anything. A $7/mo watchlist covers the long tail. Keep backorders/catchers for the 3 names you'd actually pay auction prices for.

One pattern that worked better than “post and pray” for me: ship a tiny no-account tool that answers the same question your SaaS does, then list that URL in free-tool directories before you ask anyone to sign up.

I’m building Vacato (domain watchlist + Telegram when RDAP looks available). The wedge is a free RDAP expiry / availability check — no login — so people can get value without trusting a new account. Then directories + SEO catch the “check domain expiry” queries while the paid watchlist stays for people who actually want alerts.

Still mostly blocked on communities that need a human login (Reddit etc.). Curious what channels still feel “human” to you after the AI-slop wave.

HN-2 — Ask HN: Are Devtools Dead?

Open thread ↗

I think “agent will replace the linter” and “agent will replace uptime monitoring” get conflated.

Agents are great at one-shot tasks. They’re worse at boring, reliable, scheduled work you want running for months without babysitting — domain status, SSL, RDAP, invoice scrapers, etc. I still pay for (and build) tools that wake me up when a condition flips, because I don’t want an agent “remembering” to check WHOIS.

Vacato is in that bucket: RDAP watchlist + Telegram when a taken name looks available. Not sexy, not agent-native — just a timer + public registry data. Curious which of your paid tools you’d actually trust an agent to replace vs just wrap.

HN-3 — Tell HN: The Thoughts and Woes of a Full-Time Founder Part 2

Open thread ↗

Same boat on the “distribution is the real product” feeling.

I shipped the watchlist (Vacato) and a free RDAP checker/expiry page so I had something to submit without begging for an account. Blog pitches and directories moved a little; Reddit/forums still sit behind login walls for me. Activation (Telegram connect) is harder than signups — people add domains and ghost.

If you’ve found one channel that still rewards honesty over volume in 2026, I’d love to hear it. I’m avoiding sockpuppets and early Show HN until the calendar window.

HN-4 — Ask HN: People Don't Search in One Place Anymore

Open thread ↗

Agree — “Google → one result → signup” is rarer. What I see for niche B2B is: someone hits a free tool or a directory card first, then maybe the product.

That’s why I put Vacato’s free domain check / expiry pages in front of the watchlist. Same RDAP stack, zero account. If someone only needed a one-off lookup, they leave happy; if they want ongoing alerts, the watch CTA is there.

Doesn’t replace community distribution, but it matches how people actually browse now.

      Hey Product Hunt 👋

Vacato is the alert layer for domain names you want but can't register yet.

Add names to a watchlist → we check RDAP on a schedule → you get email/Telegram/Slack when one opens → you register at any registrar.

**Not a drop-catcher.** We don't bid at the registry or run auctions. Think: replace the spreadsheet + manual WHOIS refresh.

**Free 10:** 10 domains, 5-minute checks, Telegram / email / push — no card.
**Pro ($7/mo):** 100 domains, 1-minute checks, REST API + MCP, Slack/Discord/webhooks.

- Press kit (logo, one-liner, screenshots): https://vacato.io/press

Subject: Guest post: RDAP watchlists after GoDaddy monitoring shutdown

Hi Andrew,

I'm Lidor — I run Vacato (vacato.io), a domain watchlist that polls RDAP and alerts via Telegram. Not pitching paid placement; offering a reader-useful piece with no inflated stats.

Draft: **"What domainers actually use now that GoDaddy consumer monitoring is gone"**

Angle:
- Availability alerts vs portfolio change tracking (DomainTools-class) — different jobs
- Why per-name backorders don't scale for a 50–200 name target list
- Honest limits: RDAP monitoring is not registry catching on hot .com deletes
- A simple stack: watchlist for coverage, backorder/catch for must-wins

1,200–1,500 words, original, single disclosure line. Example tone on our blog: https://vacato.io/blog/domain-backorder-vs-monitoring

If timing or fit isn't right, no worries — appreciate the reporting you already do on registrar tooling.

Subject: Guest post submission: domain watchlist workflow for founders

Hi NameStall team,

I'd like to submit a guest post for the NameStall blog — not a product ad, a practical workflow piece.

Title idea: **"How to build a domain watchlist workflow without scripts"**

Outline:
- Why founders and side-project builders need monitoring, not just backorders
- RDAP checks on a schedule vs manual WHOIS refresh
- When Telegram alerts beat email for "taken name might open" lists
- Honest scope: monitoring alerts; you still register yourself (we don't catch drops)

~1,400 words, original, one disclosure that I built Vacato. Sample: https://vacato.io/blog/expired-domains-monitoring-without-script

Happy to follow your guest-post guidelines and adjust tone/length.

Thanks,

Subject: Domain backorder vs RDAP monitoring — when each tool wins

After GoDaddy shut down its consumer monitoring product, a lot of threads here ask what replaced it. The honest answer is that "monitoring" split into two jobs:

1. **Portfolio / change tracking** — DNS, expiry fields, WHOIS diffs on names you own or research heavily.
2. **Availability monitoring** — polling RDAP on a timer for names you *don't* own yet, alerting when status looks available.

Backorders and catchers are a third lane — per-name bids at delete. Useful for must-wins; expensive for a long tail of maybes.

I run Vacato (disclosure: my product) for lane #2 — flat-fee watchlist, Telegram alerts, you register yourself. This article walks through when monitoring beats backordering, when it doesn't, and a mixed workflow most investors actually use.

Hi Elliot — Lidor here (Vacato, domain watchlist). Wrote an honest backorder vs RDAP monitoring piece your readers might find useful — no fake catch stats. Open to a guest post or your take if it's off-brand. Sample: vacato.io/blog/domain-backorder-vs-monitoring — happy to tailor.

Follow-up (if DM gets a reply)

Thanks for getting back. Pitch: 1,200-word piece on when domain investors should use watchlists vs backorders vs catchers — workflow-focused, disclosure that I built Vacato. Free tier is now 10 domains (https://vacato.io/blog/free-plan-10-domains). Sample tone: https://vacato.io/blog/domain-backorder-vs-monitoring. Can deliver exclusive or adapted version for DomainInvesting.

**What Vacato is:** availability monitoring for names you don't own yet (scheduled RDAP + alerts). Free = 10 names.
**What it isn't:** not a drop-catcher, not a backorder auction, not a registrar.

Open to a guest post for DomainInvesting (workflow-focused, single disclosure) or your blunt take if the angle is off-brand. Can deliver exclusive or adapted. Press kit: https://vacato.io/press

Subject: Industry piece idea: monitoring tools after registrar monitoring shutdowns

Hi Raymond,

I'm Lidor — founder of Vacato (vacato.io), an RDAP domain watchlist with Telegram alerts. Reaching out with a guest/article idea, not a paid placement.

Proposal: **"The post-GoDaddy monitoring stack for domain investors"**

Would cover:
- What changed when consumer registrar monitoring products shut down or narrowed
- Availability polling vs portfolio intelligence (DomainTools, etc.)
- Why flat-fee watchlists complement — not replace — DropCatch/SnapNames on must-win names
- Straight talk: we alert when RDAP shows available; we don't catch at the registry

1,200–1,500 words, original reporting tone, single disclosure. Reference piece on our blog: https://vacato.io/blog/domain-backorder-vs-monitoring

If editorial calendar is full, totally understand — thanks for the industry coverage you already publish.

Best,
Lidor

Hi [Name],

I'm Lidor — I run Vacato (vacato.io), a domain watchlist product. Not pitching a paid placement; offering a useful article for your readers.

Draft idea: **"Domain backorder vs monitoring — when each tool actually wins"**

Covers:
- Why per-name backorders break down at portfolio scale
- What RDAP monitoring catches (and what it doesn't vs DropCatch)
- A simple workflow: watchlist for coverage, backorder for must-win names
- No fake stats — we explicitly don't catch domains

I can deliver 1,200–1,500 words, original, with a single disclosure line. Example on our blog: https://vacato.io/blog/domain-backorder-vs-monitoring

If it's not a fit, no worries — thanks for the domaining content you already publish.

Best,
Lidor
